Just a brief update on the quilt today. I’ve added some hand stitching to these black shapes. They’re cropped cross shapes so I thought some hand stitched crosses would be a nice idea.
I’m using a hand dyed bright pink thread and just spacing them randomly to control that area of fabric. I like that they’re adding some texture, colour and a mini motif.
I’m going to machine quilt that bit of fabric around the shape and then it really is on to the face.
